Tamayura ~hitotose~ 06

Tamayura ~hitotose~ is such a refreshing slice of life anime that continues to exceed my expectations. For this week AvidElite was absent due to real life priorities so sm2345 took a small break from studying to Edit and QC this episode. There is also another lovely insert song in the episode that we worked on. And of course thank you to ZeroYuki for continuing to find the time to translate Tamayura ~hitotose~, we really do appreciate every moment of it.

After episode 4, I was sad since I thought it was going to be the only Maon centric episode. Yet the focus once again shines on her. And who can really blame the studio, so far she is proving to be one of the most liked, apart from Chihiro. I like Maon so much since she seems to remind me of a certain someone, from the way she acts around strangers and to her pastimes.

As before, the KFX is only included in the second track. We hope you appreciate our work on the new insert song in the episode. And of course thank you for continuing to support us. Now I’m off to class.

Enjoy the snack. 😀 Comments, feedback, suggestions etc are welcome.

Timing Error: Goober sm2345 for some reason messed up a line I timed during his Edit/QC. It’s the line “Patisserie?” which appears around 17:44 and for some reason he gave it a +4000ms lead in >_>. It shall be fixed in the future batch release and sorry for the inconvenience. Error

Edit Error: The same line as the timing error, “Patisserie” should be “Patissiere” instead. Patissiere is a pastry chef while Patisserie is the place where a Patissiere works in.

sm2345: My sincere apologies to everyone including the staff for my mess-ups. 🙁  I have no idea how they made it into the release, but I’ll be more careful. 🙁

Thank you for this as always. Cannot get over how good this show is.

  2. Des says:

    Thank you 🙂

  3. romeyo007 says:

there is timing error around 17:46

  4. Des says:

“Partissere” or whatever it was, was on the screen for like 6 sec before she actually said it.

  5. MarukoM says:

    @Romeyo007 and Des
sm2345 somehow totally messed it up during his Edit/QC. Meh…

  6. ZeroYuki says:

sm2345, patisserie is the place where a patissiere works in. They are two different things. In this case, Norie is stating she wants to become a patissiere, which is the occupation, and not the place.

Timing error and this edit error….

  7. Sum_of_Thunder says:

Thanks for everything. A great job on a great show. Special congratulations to the translator. In a series as emotionally evocative as this, the subtleties of expression are everything.

  9. Ladholyman says:

Maon’s the best. Keep up the good work.

  10. Beckett says:

<3 this show so much, thanks for translating it!

  11. Konichiwa says:

Exactly, a “pâtissière” is the person (a girl because for a boy we say “un pâtissier”) who cooks the cakes and others pastries.
The “pâtisserie” is the shop where the cakes are sold.

Good job ! And thank you for subbing this anime =)

    • sm2345 says:

Yeah, for that, I unconsciously changed it… It was okay in the initial script, no idea what I was thinking then. ==”

As for the timing error, it happened while I was on the script too, but I don’t remember making that change deliberately, too.

All I can hope is that everyone’s viewing experience and pleasure was not ruined much. 🙁

  12. 風当たり says:

You’ve translated “sweet stuff are vegetables” but it’s wrong (terribly wrong, but in a funny way).
It’s “sweets are made of kindness” (it’s yasashisa, not yasai^^).

    • ZeroYuki says:

I was torn between which to use but eventually went with the vegetables which doesn’t make sense. Norie was talking too quickly and I thought she was talking nonsense, so I didn’t try to make sense of it.

  13. Gustus_Mack says:

I hate to admit it but I cried. Timing errors always make me cry.
