We apologise for the lengthy delays this week. Hopefully the workflow will be back to normal this coming week. This episode wasn’t checked by our usual TLC, Rikka. So I apologise if there are any lapses.
Seikoku no Dragonar is the maiden project of a new studio: C-Station which had only just split from Bee Train in 2012. Previously, they had been doing mainly clean up and in-between animation for other studios. Our staff had high expectations going into picking up the anime. Most maiden projects of new studios tend to be good as it will be associated to the studio forever. Some examples include True Tears (2008) by PA-Works, their first work, and Air (2005) by Kyoto Animation, their second work. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said of C-Station. The general consensus amongst the staff is that Dragonar has been going downhill with its unnecessary fan service since episode 01. While there are good ecchi shows with solid plots, there are many that fall down the slippery slope of service over plot. Here’s hoping Dragonar redeems itself with more episodes to come. Otherwise, this will just be another generic harem that attempts to copy cliche concepts from previous successful works, in particular, Zero no Tsukaima.
As usual, enjoy the snack! Comments, suggestions, and feedbacks are welcome.
sm Addition: Unless it improves, picking this mediocre show up instead of Isshuukan Friends will most likely remain as one of my regrets.
Looking for a typesetter for future projects, so we are not constrained by finding a show light on Typesetting and picking up mediocre ones instead. Thank you. Contact sm2345 on Rizon or email if interested.
